When and where is the SIIM 2012 Annual Meeting?
The SIIM 2012 Annual Meeting and Exhibits will be held June 7 - 10 at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, FL.

Where can I find a complete schedule for the meeting?
Daily Program schedules can be found under General Information. In addition, the website has detailed program session information to include session descriptions and objectives.

How many continuing education credits are provided?
SIIM provides CME credits for physicians, CE credits for technologists and medical physicists, and Certificates of Attendance for IIPs. Please see the continuing education page for details.

What are the exhibit hall hours?

Thursday June 7 11:00 am – 4:30 pm
Friday June 8 11:00 am – 4:30 pm

Where can I find a listing of exhibiting companies?
A complete listing of exhibiting companies can be found on the SIIM 2012 website. Exhibiting companies are available in several listings – alphabetically, by product categories, and by booth number.

What is the dress code for the meeting?
The dress code for the meeting is business casual.

Where can I find updated meeting information?
The most up-to-date SIIM annual meeting information will be posted on the SIIM 2012 website. The Preliminary Program is also available to download.

Where can I find updated meeting information while onsite?
The Final Program Guide & Planner will be distributed to all registered attendees. All updated meeting information and announcements will be available on the onsite SIIM 2012 website.

How do I gain access to the SIIM Annual Meeting functions?
Badges are required for all attendees for admission to the following:

  • General Sessions
  • Educational & Scientific Program Sessions
  • Exhibit Hall
  • Networking Receptions

What nights are the Networking Receptions?
Networking information can be found on the reception page.

When are the SIIM-Affiliated User Group Meetings being held?
The SIIM-Affiliated User Group meetings will be held on Wednesday, June 6 at the Orlando World Center Marriott. Registration information for the user groups can be found on the individual user group website.

 


Registration

Where can I find registration and housing information?

When will registration open? What are the registration rates?
Registration is now open. A complete listing of registration rates is available.

What is the SIIM Member registration rate?
The early bird SIIM Member registration rate is $465. The onsite SIIM Member registration rate is $515.

I am not a SIIM Member. Can I still register for the meeting?
Yes, you can register for the meeting if you are not currently a SIIM Member. The non-member meeting rate includes a SIIM membership through 12/31/12. The early bird non-member rate is $625 and the onsite non-member rate is $675.

When is the Early Bird registration deadline?
Save money on your registration fee by registering by the early bird deadline of Monday, May 7, 2012.

I registered, but have not received a confirmation. How do I get another one sent to me?
Please email SIIM2012@siimweb.org to request a duplicate copy of your confirmation to be sent to you.

How do I register for the pre-meeting IIP Bootcamp scheduled on Wednesday, June 6?
Use the SIIM 2012 registration form to register for the IIP Bootcamp. The fee for the IIP Bootcamp is $250.

May I register for only one day?
Yes, the daily registration fee is $250.

May I register for the exhibit hall only?
There is not an exhibit hall only pass. A daily registration will provide you access to the exhibit hall and the program sessions for the day. The daily registration fee is $250.

What do I need to qualify for the student/resident rate?
SIIM Resident/Full-Time Student members receive a complimentary meeting registration. To qualify for this rate, documentation of resident/full-time student status is required. Please note: you cannot be a full time student and have a full time job at the same time. So, the student registration is not available for persons who hold a normal job and are taking a degree program as an addition to their normal job.

Can I bring a spouse or guest to the program?
Yes, tickets for the networking reception are available for a fee of $75, and are available to Guest/Companion of any full meeting registrant. One Guest/Companion ticket per registrant is permitted. The Guest/Companion must not be a member, potential member, or speaker. Access to the sessions, exhibit hall, and online resources are not included.

What is the age limit for attending the meeting and exhibit hall?
For the safety of all parties, children under the age of 18 are not permitted to attend these activities.

I am a member of the press – do you have press registration?
Members of the press may request a complimentary press pass. All members of the press will be asked to complete a press registration form and verify their media credentials. The deadline for requesting media credentials is May 31, 2012. Onsite press registration will not be available at SIIM 2012.

How do I request a Letter of Invitation for a Visa?
If you require a letter of invitation for visa purposes, please email your request to SIIM2012@siimweb.org. An official letter will be emailed to you.

What is the meeting registration cancellation policy?
If you are unable to attend the SIIM 2012 Annual Meeting for which you’ve registered, notify SIIM in writing. Cancellations must be received no later than May 21, 2012. All refunds are subject to an $80 cancellation fee. Requests for refunds will not be honored after May 21, 2012.

When will I receive my refund?
Please allow 30 days for your refund to be processed. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment type.

I can no longer attend the meeting. Can I send a substitute?
Yes, however the substitute must pay any difference in registration fee, if applicable. Please email the name and contact information for the substitute attendee to SIIM2012@siimweb.org.

Where do I pick up my meeting registration badge?
If you have pre-registered, you may pick-up registration badges at the onsite registration located at the Orlando World Center Marriott.

Can I register for the meeting onsite? What are the hours?
Yes, you will be able to register for the meeting onsite at the Orlando World Center Marriott during the following hours:

Wednesday June 6 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Thursday June 7 6:30 am – 5:00 pm
Friday June 8 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday June 9 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday June 10 7:30 am – 10:00 am

Do I have to sign-up in advance for the educational and scientific sessions during the annual meeting?
Pre-registration is not required for the educational and scientific sessions. Only your badge is required for admission. The only exception is the Sunday Learning Series Learning Labs, which require advanced sign-up using the meeting registration form. (Please see the next question).

Do I have to sign-up in advance to attend the Sunday Learning Series Learning Labs?
Yes, you will be required to pre-register for the Sunday Learning Series Learning Labs. The Sunday Learning Series is included in the Annual Meeting registration fee; however space is limited in these sessions. Please note that several sessions require participants to bring their laptops in order to fully participate in the hands-on activities.

What is the SIIM discounted hotel rate at the Orlando World Center Marriott?

  • SIIM 2012 Rate: $184 single/double
  • Housing Deadline: May 21, 2012

The SIIM rate includes the following amenities on a complimentary basis: fitness center access and free internet in your guest room. For more details, please see our housing page.

Is shuttle service provided from the area airports?
SIIM does not provide shuttle service from the airport. However, SIIM has partnered with Mears Transportation to offer a discounted rate for ROUND TRIP airport shuttle service to/from the Orlando World Center Marriott for use at the SIIM 2012 Annual Meeting. The World Center is the first stop from the airport.

The discounted SIIM 2012 adult rate is $30 on shuttle transportation between the airport and the hotel. This coupon also applies to children (ages 4-11) - children’s round trip fare is $23.
